4 star review from Attitude Magazine.

PILI reviewed in November 2018 edition of Sight & Sound:
"With a vivid colour palette courtesy of cinematographer Craig Dean Devine and an engrossing lead performance from Rashid, PILI transforms a simple tale into a substantial film. It's a very moving story, if far from melodramatic - knotty moral quandaries such as these are the stuff of stimulating drama."

Peter Bradshaw reviews PILI in the Guardian:
"Here is the opportunity, here are the people with buying power, here are the forces of capital that Pili must negotiate as best she can. This is a thoughtful film."
